Ripcord
A dark comedy that’s equal parts hilarity and heart, offering actors the chance to sink their teeth into sharp wit, big laughs, and surprising emotional depth. Set in a sunny senior living facility, the play centers on two women who couldn’t be more different: Abby, a cantankerous loner who fiercely guards her quiet space, and Marilyn, her relentlessly cheerful new roommate who refuses to back down. What begins as a small clash of personalities quickly escalates into an all-out battle of wits when Marilyn bets Abby she can make her angry—and Abby counters with a challenge of her own. As pranks escalate and secrets are revealed, their rivalry pushes both women to their limits, leading to unexpected moments of vulnerability and connection.
