Washington Place This is a true story. The Triangle Shirtwaist Company burned on March 25, 1911, with the loss of 146 lives, mostly young women. The names chosen for this play are the names of actual victims, and the ages their actual ages. This is an ordinary day and the characters spend it sharing stories, singing songs, confiding in one another. They are mostly young women with dreams. It is only in the final minutes of the play that we discover none will live to realize them. David Hopes is a retired UNC-A professor whose work has been published and produced widely across the US. He has performed on the HART stage and this is our first production of one of his plays. Dates: Fri 03, Sat 04, Sun 05, Thu 09, Fri 10, Sat 11, Sun 12 Booking and More Information
